When Courtney called me, she had such amazing ideas for this shoot. We gabbed like girls on our very first phone call and I knew I would adore her and her sweet family! She wanted a crisp color palette of navy & white with yellow accents…LOVE! She also wanted to shoot out on the Coronado Naval Base since her hubs is a famous (pretty much) Helicopter Pilot for the Navy…FABULOUS! She’s my ideal client: brilliant ideas, awesome styling and an adventurous spirit to go with it! And, on top of it all, she’s my hero for rolling with the punches…(see below).
On the day of the shoot, her adorable yellow balloons ended up in the hanger ceiling beams before we got off a single shot…in the midst of getting all three kids organized, bathing & loading two massive Mastiffs, and gathering all her hubby’s clothes together, she forgot HER OWN SKIRT (insert a zillion points for being an amazing mom & wife here) (here is also where I would have LOST IT!)…and she managed to single-handedly lift all 5,000 lbs of drooling Mastiff’s into the car BY HERSELF, when the rest of us couldn’t even get them to stand still for a shot (Cesar Millan would be ashamed of me)! She’s tough, talented (did I mention she runs her own letterpress business too?!), and purdy…all that combined wins her an award in my book.
Needless to say, I LOVED shooting with the Renard Family and I forever adore Courtney. Enjoy!
These helo’s? Really? Totally unbelievable…and made me respect their pilots even more than I already did!
Courtney & Alan were amazingly sweet and so easy going! Made my day so much easier. 🙂
Hailey. Was. Adorable.
Alex & Finn were such troopers. Even after Finn did a full-on face-plant off the lifeguard tower…it was AWESOME!
Bomber & Kitty drool…EPIC!
