So I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been asked when I was going to post this…and it’s been kiiilllllliiiiiing me, honest! BUT…Mia’s simple little DIY first birthday party turned into quite a big deal when I enlisted the help of my friend Paige Kepner at Paiges of Style. And, to cut to the chase, Mia’s celebration ended up being published…check out her Hostess With The Mostest blog feature today…which means my little blog had to wait.
This is ALL due to Paige. Left up to me, it probably would have been pizza on the beach or something uber-glamourous like that. Paige was amazing and pulled everything together with me in just ONE WEEK! Unreal.
Without further ado, here are just a few shots from Mia’s humble little bash… *snerk*

The beautiful bunting in the background is from my neighbor Bev’s backyard…she has the most GORGEOUS things from England!

The Sweets Table. Yes, I know…it was a bit over the top. But BOY was it delish!

We used Mia’s actual silhouette for the details…even the snicker doodle cake pops were molded to match perfectly!

Paige handmade all of the burlap balls & flower accent pins for the doughnut tower. Best part? The pins were take-away gifts for the ladies!

Milk…it does a body good, but even better when it comes in three different flavors! (Except MY & MIA’S body, of course…since we’re allergic. Boo. Hissy.) Coconut macaroons however, we are NOT allergic to. Party-in-my-Mouth!

The quilt table toppers? Heirlooms handmade for me by my mother, of course. She’s brilliantly talented with fabric…BRILLIANTLY!

So my husband? Made. This. Watermelon. Fruit. Kebob. Basket. Extravaganza. Especially for me, the morning of the party…he wins BIG!

My brother has always been a huge favorite of Mia’s. I think she commandeered his lap for most of the party.
Love. Them. Both.

Spray roses & babies breath from my favorite Franco’s Flowers in Encinitas.
They make me uber happy.

And to finish it off? A sugar-free, gluten-free strawberry smash cake for Mia! ‘Cause I DEF didn’t want to deal with a SUGAR HIGH after a day like this day!

For THIS little girl…ANYTHING is possible.![]()

For those of you who have been asking, YES Paige does this for a living and YES you can probably hire her to help you too! Better yet, check out her Etsy shop to find all her packaged printables (including Mia’s “Silhouette Theme“) for a steal!
PAIGE: You’re a bombshell among brunettes when it comes to this stuff…I’m eternally grateful to Nicole for connecting us and I’m forever in your debt for helping me create such a fun, unique, AMAZING party for Mia. She’s going to look back at her album for this party and know just how much we loved her (and just how talented her friend Paige is)! Love you dearly woman! xo
