Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer’s day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.

We took our stunning muse onto dry land for the rest of this session, and her shimmering dress picked up the sunlight and shades of green just as easily as the gleaming water. With simple dutch braid and natural feminine makeup, my model went seamlessly from sea to land. I love the shot of her breathing in the fresh air…so easily, we get caught up in the everyday, and forget that rest is as natural a part of life as the busy-ness is.
