Family Photography | Frederick’s | Part I: Formal Session

“We need the tonic of wildness…At the same time that we are earnest to explore and learn all things, we require that all things be mysterious and unexplorable, that land and sea be indefinitely wild, unsurveyed and unfathomed by us because unfathomable.
We can never have enough of nature.”

― Henry David Thoreau

Every year, some beloved friends travel all the way from the Lone Star State to bring me to a new location to capture their gorgeous family. I have lovingly dubbed these my “adventure sessions”, and have had a few other clients decide to begin their own travel tradition for their annual sessions or anniversary shoots. It is one of my favorite things!

For this one, we hit the Oregon Coast, and found a gorgeous beachside forest trail. They chose the most dreamy of outfits, and looked SO chic and stylish. I don’t think I could choose one favorite from these fairy-tale scenes! The Fredericks were married in 2009, and as a family, they love exploring new territory and finding amazing new restaurants. They are very intentional people, and have been some our dearest friends since their wedding. They are outdoor enthusiasts, travelers, business owners, and natives to Louisiana! Every year after our adventure, I create a fine art album for them, full of the memories we make together. They are some of the best memories to pass through my hands!
