Equine Photography | Kaylee Cannon | Part I: Tuxedo

When I bestride him, I soar, I am a hawk.
He trots the air, the earth sings when he touches it.
-William Shakespeare

The match of a majestic horse and their rider is timeless and one of my favorite things to photograph. I’ve been riding horses ever since I was eight years old and truly love the wild freedom, strength and movement they give photos. Especially when the bond is strong between the rider and the horse, like it is here. Kaylee and Tuxedo, her horse, are bound by something stronger than words can really describe, so photos do a better job of documenting the way they interact. Kaylee is an accomplished show jumper, and with their hard work, they will now be representing Zone 9 at the Child/AA Team Jumper Championships. The day was beautiful, and we were able to snag photos in both her delicate black dress, as well as her traditional equestrian show attire.

If you are interested in equine photographs, please let me know. Maybe you’re a parent who would love to capture your child or senior with their beloved horse, or maybe you’ve even dreamed up an engagement or wedding session with your horse! Whatever you’re thinking of, we can make it happen.
