Michael and Kaia met each other while Salsa dancing in Ashland, Oregon; a hilarious tale of cat & mouse, finally ending up with her number on his palm. Their courtship was filled with months of travel, music, dancing, adventure, exploring, and relishing life. Bound by their love of travel, adventure led them to Tulum, Mexico, an area filled with stunning Mayan ruins and beautiful sights. Michael surprised Kaia in Tulum with a beachside proposal, to which she said a resounding YES!
The beautiful couple privately shared their vows and exchanged rings during an intimate Native American ceremony on top of a rural Oregon mountain, just a few days before their actual wedding. It was such a unique ceremony with tremendous scenic views…plus this couple is SO obviously head over heels in love with each other! The directional smudging ritual, pipe smoking (against custom to photograph) and native american songs Aaron sang, echoed for days off the mountaintop and literally had every person attending in tears. So intimate, so emotional, so beautiful!
