If I could choose the most grounded, enriching place to raise kids…I think the Allen ranch would be it. Nestled in between God’s right hand and some luscious green hillsides, sits their peaceful country home, complete with a wrap-around porch (my fav) and a cute little barn out back. Baby goats, ducks & chickens, rabbits, a horse and two of the best young lab/retriever mixes I’ve ever met…there’s no shortage of enthusiastic hello’s when you pull in. Gorgeous hardwood floors & fireplaces inside…raised garden beds & a hammock outside. Are you kidding me? My first question to their three precious girls when I walked in was…”When can I move in?”
Not an ounce of stretching is needed to say that this is the sweetest, most loving family. The girls are always amazingly well mannered and polite, can carry on completely adult conversations and all three in their uniqueness, have little faces of angels. Their parents are my heros! THIS…is one amazing & adorable family…
Maybe it’s just me, since I was raised a country girl…but this little house is doin’ it right! You can’t help but be affected by the love this family shares. And Joy of Joys!…lucky little me gets to spend an entire week camping, house-boating and wake surfing with these guys this month at Shasta Lake! I’m “Tigger-on-a-Pogo-Stick” excited and already packing!
