We had SUCH fun shooting in and around sandy cliffs, rappelling down to the beach (yes, several months prego AND carrying all my precious gear while dangling down the side of a cliff with my client and stylist was monumental!) and laughing the entire time. This gorgeous girl was such a trooper! And she totally rocked this fun shoot AND had crazy stories to tell her hubby when it was all over…such a fun experience!

My stylist on this shoot (and so many of my boudoir sessions!) was the amazing Jeanette Crutchfield, and she was the best cliffside partner I could have asked for! Never a complaint…just pure excited energy and I swear she can second guess what I need before I even ask for it. Makeup, hair, styling, reflecting, bag hauling & a hoot to boot! She is TRULY a gem…I’m so glad to have her around!

But I couldn’t help it. There are some brand spankin’ new derriere shots up on my Boudoir site and I just couldn’t wait to tell someone! I think they’re gorgeous! Leave me some comment love here and let me know what you think! Whatever you choose to call it…derriere, buns, buttocks, backside, rear, tushy, booty patootie, bum, badonkadonk…it’s still one beautiful part of our God-given bodies and nothin’ to be ashamed about! Ask some of my boudoir clients…they’ll probably bring out their album and show you a few more beautiful bum shots they’re proud of!

And one more…because we live in beautiful, BEACHY San Diego!

I don’t like waiting until said hubby knows about such deliciousness to post peeks on my blog about it, or pop a new pic up on the website when I’m floored by a fabulous shot!

Now, I know patience is a virtue, but this one just couldn’t wait. I begged my client to allow me to just post one teensy-weensy little image of her gorgeousness on the blog to share the joy. This particular client just happens to have a fitness model body that I’d keeeeeell for! So, in the spirit of wishful thinking (while I eye the ever growing belly baby bump growing like an alien on the front of me), I decided to doctor up one of my favorite shots from Sunday’s seaside boudoir shoot (to conceal it from one lucky hubby), and toss it out there for you all to drool over. WITH my client’s consent, of course!

VOILA!

Yes that is MY face superimposed on HER body. But it COOOULD be me, right?! With a few years of protein shakes and major weight training, I bet my chicken legs would start to look JUST like hers!

Seriously, though, how GORGEOUS is her body? And just wait until you get to see the beauty queen face that goes with it! Amazing! I had a blast shooting with this sweeter-than-pie lady. We spent the better part of a day bouncing from a Melrose-style beachside Inn, to some amazing seaside cliffs, and finally to a gorgeous sunset-lit beach. All the while enjoying the gorgeous weather San Diego had to offer and laughing at our onlookers antics to get closer to the action. “PEOPLE! Do me a favor next time you come across me shooting a breath taking bikini-clad lady on the beach…KEEP WALKING and QUIT DROOLING ON HER! It makes too much sand stick and my stylist has to work overtime!”

Take Jessica’s shoot, for example. She’s a down-home, spunky doll…with the sweetness of a kindergarden teacher…and the body of a Victoria’s Secret model. On a blustery fall day, in beautiful & colorful Southern Oregon, Jessica and I found “French Chic”!!! LOVE THAT! We had a b-l-a-s-t (and had to call down to the front desk to barter just a wee little bit more time) in our quaint little B&B and now I feel overwhelmed with a love for all things warm & European-styled as I browse through her images.

THANK YOU Jessica…for transporting me back to France…and for building some amazing, lasting, fun memories with me while we captured your indescribably beauty. You are truly Très Chic!!

When I started adding more boudoir into my shoots a few years back, I was hesitant. All I had previously known of boudoir was feather boas and stilettos (not that there’s anything wrong with stilettos!)…oh how little I knew! I was always concerned about the tacky & tawdry versus classy & beautiful element, so I strived hard to create exceptional, uniquely classic images with the beauties before me. And someone upstairs was watching out for me (as always!) because from Day One, I’ve not only LOVED doing boudoir sessions but I’ve met the most amazing women with incredible life stories. To this day, I’m an addict for making women feel beautiful. And this shoot was no different…

What an exceptional beauty! When Miss C walked up to me on the afternoon of her shoot, all I could see was her on the cover of some Vogue swimsuit issue. Let me tell you, if I could choose a body to look like…well, anyway. She looked, and photographed so amazingly…and I had an absolute BLAST shooting her! Which was obvious when day turned into night at our “fun little boudoir session at the Stewart Estate”!

We had the distinct pleasure of shooting at my friend’s estate…and I DO mean Estate! Lonnie & Dave’s home is indescribable. The pool, itself, is the bomb (let alone the sunken fireplace/hot tub/sitting area just in front of it)…and there is even a little exposed “river” running through the entry floor…unreal! I could go on for days about it, but needless to say…we were in “Da House” when it came to shooting backdrops and we made FULL use of it!

This shoot was epic, as I’m sure my 10-hour nap after it attested to…I was dog tired! And I know we flat wore out Miss C, but she was a trooper until the very end (she even helped pack up my stuff & load my car!!). Even after she took an unplanned dive into the pool (*SPLASH!* in FULL hair and makeup!) after I tried to pose her on a narrow (we’re talking just a few inches!), tiled ledge on the EDGE of a flowing fountain above the pool…she was STILL a trooper and looked even more beautiful (if that was possible) sopping wet for the next few frames! ROCK STAR! So here’s to brave beauties and boudoir!!!…three cheers for breathtaking locations, making women feel exceptionally beautiful in the bodies they’re in and for giving this little Tigger-on-a-Pogo-Stick photographer some serious creative joy!
