Frank & Jessica’s Engagement | San Diego, CA

In celebration of their recent engagement, I had the joy of doing a fun engagement session for our dear friends, Frank & Jessica. Jessica had the fabulous idea to shoot in a forest, which of course I was stoked about! So she and I set off on an adventure, in the week preceding their shoot, to find a gorgeous sunlit SoCal “forest” to capture some fun shots of their love together. We had a BLAST, both scouting & shooting!

Now if you know Frank & Jess, you understand when I say I never part company with them without having a side ache from laughing so much. They are HIGH-larious and so much fun! So this shoot was taxing…not because they were difficult to shoot, but because my camera vibrated from my giggles all day. I heart them both for that!

So, to my two dear friends, Frankie & JJ… Here’s to many, many more years of side-stitching laughter together, and hopefully some cute mini’s to photograph too, one of these days. I love you both dearly and cherish our friendship. Congratulations on your love, engagement and life together!

OREGON: Honored…Maid of Honor

Ahhh such strain!!! What to do when you’re faced with the dilemma of photographing two of the MOST photogenic, beautiful faces during a sure-to-be spectacular wedding in a most breathtaking location OR being your best girlfriend, and possibly separated-at-birth sister’s Maid of Honor… Good Grief! Lucky (very lucky) for me, the difficult decision was made for me when the special bride sent me the following in the mail:

September 9, 2009 marks a v e r y special day to me…my BFF Paige is marrying the love of her life, lucky boy Brett, in beautiful Bend, Oregon! I couldn’t be happier for the two of them and I really can’t believe it’s only a few months away already! So, in preparation to design some simple invitations for them, we met up in between thundershowers, in a huge, open Oregon field filled with spring wildflowers to capture a few engagements shots…”Paige & Brett”-style…

So, seriously…have you EVER see a cuter couple? Yah…I didn’t think so. These two are mad talented, impossibly beautiful inside and out, and hilarious…and I adore them both.

And just because I never seem to get her behind my lens enough as it is, I forced (yes, she put up a fight and will undoubtedly also send me hate mail when she sees I’ve posted this) sweet Paigie-Pooh (oh and I’ll definitely pay for that one too!) to stand still for just THREE MORE SHOTS…of just her. You won’t find a sweeter girl than this…anywhere.

So three cheers to sweet Paige & Brett…may you find every happiness in marriage together and always remember that I love you dearly!

Rich & Daneen

Last night, I had the pleasure of photographing an engagement session for my friend Daneen and her new fiance. I was cracking up most of the time at Rich’s antics and in awe the rest of the time at the sweet connection between them. We sweet talked our way into shooting at an amazing, hidden away resort hotel and had a blast out in the gorgeous summer weather.
